Opera One unveils AI Feature Drops program

On March 8 the AI enhancement features program of the Opera One AI browser has just been announced. This program aims equally to the active users who can sign up and experience upcoming features in the browser by testing when they are still in development form.

Only Opera One boutique has these AI features whereas the company owns its AI engine which is called Composer AI. The latest AI Feature Drop update allows for testing out of new features in Opera every two weeks. The miscellaneous strategy also includes the upcoming iOS app for the browser in Europe that lies by the DMA guidelines.

Opera has developed the AI Features Drop project that involves downloading experimental features by users that they can later on vote for a global release.

This program can only be accessed after users sign up, and status updates will be available in the "add-on" browser version only. Given the fact that the features of Opera will be delivered every two weeks as Opera states.

As announced during last week's event, Krystian Kolondra, EVP of Opera, said: "AI is an ongoing field and so are we. Through the AI Feature Drops Program, we provide the way for our most dedicated users not only to test our experiments but also to share their opinions and insights that sometimes may become an integral part of the official release of Opera One".

What does the new version of Opera AI look like?

AI is now built into Opera browser as an integrated component, making Opera a perfect program for AI which rejects all other browsers. At the same time, Opera One isn't just another browser with added features, like Brave that merely embeds an AI chatbot third-party model, this browser is distinct as it contains its own AI model, called Composer AI. This is an engine that is used to control the Aria neural network as well as all our AI capabilities available in the browser.

Located in the sidebar, Aria is for users to obtain help in the following ways: replies to questions, text generation for essays and emails, coding and itinerary development, etc. Moreover, it is a web-based application, therefore, it is always linked to the Internet and provides current data.
