OpenPOWER Webinar for CDAC Team and Partners

While many of our customers , partners and my colleagues helping to find a cure for #COVID-19 (https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/researchers-oak-ridge-national-lab-identified-could-ai-narayanasamy and https://doi.org/10.26434/chemrxiv.11871402.v3 ), we also enabled CDAC team ( www.cdac.in ) and partners in OpenPOWER/Power 9 technology to develop applications to help the world .

Power 9 and Tuning applications using Compilers , Power 9 and CUDA aware MPI, GPU direct RDMA and WML-CE features and case studies for 3 hours.

Dr Archana Ravinder from IBM talked on performance tuning using compilers and she demonstrated the performance improvement (speed-up) with various GCC compiler options including software pre fetching, register spills etc.

Pidad Dsouza and Aditya Nitsure presented about Power 9 , CUDA aware MPI, GPU direct RDMA , OpenMP features and some exercises

Ravi Gummadi presented #WML-CE and #snapML capabilities on #IBM #AC922 systems.

Overall the OpenPOWER Webinar did involve good discussions around Power 9 Processor features , NVIDIA GPU capabilities and IBM Power 9 system AC922 system's capabilities.
