The diagram below illustrates the leadership journey across four developmental phases on the vertical axis, from Dominating to Stewarding under Orientation. The horizontal axis describes the Outcomes in two categories: Passive Following and Active Initiation. Each level is enabled by a different Approach ranging from Control to Partnership.

I like this Hubert!! The more I woek in leadership the more I’m convinced it is living in the tension of opposites which I see embedded within your thinking. Those who embrace the tension and realize they must coexist will become good leaders. Those who try to eliminate the tension by eliminating one side or the other don’t. Thanks for sharing.
