Profile : Linux & AIX System Admin

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Advance Knowledge of Linux servers in Virtualized environments (Preferably RHEL certified + 7 Years of Experience extensively on Linux Environment ).
• Must have expertise mainly focused on configuration, troubleshooting, IP Networking, and implementation of large enterprise level applications on Linux Enterprise with Virtualization or cloud technologies ( RHEV, Xen, VMware & Nutanix AHV ).
• Experience on installing, Configuring, and maintaining services such as LAMP.
• Experience in configuration of Apache HTTP Server, tomcat server, load balancing
• Experience in support of Third-Party Application.
• OS & Third-Party application patch management, upgrades, and important bug fixes.
• Manage system security at OS level & System Hardening.
• Operational Monitoring – performance monitoring for a specific time duration to check system behavior helping trouble shooting.
• Scripting for system jobs and housekeeping of OS logs.
• Manage Performance Trend Analysis and Reporting.
• Experience in installation and configuration in SAN, NAS, ISCSI storage.
• Manage Configuration Includes ongoing maintenance of system documentation.
• Knowledge of network (LAN, WAN) , Firewall, NAS, SAN, Data-center operations.
• Proficient with network & Monitoring tools?such as iptables, Wireshark, Zabbix, Nagios
• Familiarity with load balancing firewalls, Routers, and experts in Networking.
• Experience with Virtualization technologies.
• OS level cluster administration and maintenance.
• Knowledge of servers and switches and other solution relevant to the Infrastructure.
• Able to support and train other server administrators in the Organization.
• Troubleshooting issues arise on the Linux servers.
• Daily system monitoring of clustered AIX Servers running HACMP and dynamic LPARs with fiber attached SAN storage and verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities, Configure add new services, as necessary.
• Identify system performance bottleneck and fine tune the system for optimal performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory and disk partitions as required.
• Perform and monitor daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media and media is recycled and sent off site, as necessary.
• Installation and Configuration of Aix 7.1 and supporting packages\software on UAT \Prod servers.
• SSL Certificate installation on all web servers AIX, Linux, and Windows.
• Installation, Configuration, and monitoring of IBM WAS 8.5 on UAT \ Prod servers.
• Ensuring compliance to regular audits & assessments including vulnerability assessments & penetration testing.

Qualification:? Bachelor’s degree

Certification : Red hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

Total Experience: 7-11 years in IT.

Relevant: Min. 7?years’ experience on Linux.
