Open AI's Sora was revealed to the world last month and expectedly created a buzz.
?Since the grand reveal, questions have ranged from IP and Copyright Protections to a potential Tsunami affecting the Entertainment Industry.
Already, the no of AI-generated music and brand videos have asked more questions of them than wowing the universe with its unknown potential.
Tough questions: What positions would be taken if AI engines scraped text and video content from Instagram, Meta, and other large platforms?
?In an interesting article, Will Lockett argues that it will raise serious ethical and intellectual concerns because he feels that "AI companies have to skirt copyright laws to gather the vast amount of data required to train their AIs and, by extension, their chatbots."
Using articles, papers, and videos without proper authorization is thus an intellectual infringement by that logic.
?This is becoming one of Information Technology's biggest Pandora's Box.
In another time and era, Victor Hugo famously said, " Nothing can stop an idea (sic technology) whose time has come.
AI is at that exciting cusp.
This space will require careful navigation and maneuvering as it gathers global momentum and impact.
