OpenAI's Latest GPT-4o 'omni'
GPT-4o is OpenAI's new flagship model that provides GPT-4-level intelligence but is much faster and improves on its capabilities across text, voice, and vision. ChatGPT Team conversations will now?default to GPT-4o with the option to select other models?from the drop down menu at the top of the page. GPTs will also now use GPT-4o.?
GPT-4o is much better than any existing model at understanding and discussing the images you share, and has improved language capabilities across both quality and speed. In addition, ChatGPT now supports more than 50 languages in user settings, the login experience, and more.
In the future, improvements will allow for more natural, real-time voice conversation and the ability to converse with ChatGPT via real-time video. These capabilities are not yet available in GPT-4o.?
Improvements to data analysis in ChatGPT
OpenAI are rolling out enhancements to data analysis in GPT-4o. You can now upload the latest file versions directly from Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, interact with tables and charts in a new expandable view, and customize and download charts for presentations and documents. These improvements build on ChatGPT’s existing data analysis capabilities, including combining and cleaning large datasets beyond what spreadsheets can support, generating Python code on the fly for complex analyses and visualizations, and summarizing insights.
ChatGPT can now remember things you discuss to make future chats more helpful
OpenAI are rolling out memory to Team users, which allows ChatGPT to remember details you share in conversations. It’s easy to use; simply start a new chat and tell ChatGPT anything you’d like it to remember. Memory can be turned on or off in settings.?
As with any ChatGPT feature, you’re in control of your data. Memories and any other information on your workspace are not used to train our models. You can see all your memories when they’re updated—hover over “Memory updated,” then click “Manage memories" to review what ChatGPT has remembered from your conversations and forget any memories you don’t want to keep. You can still manage your memories in settings at any time.
New ChatGPT desktop app for Mac
OpenAI are starting to roll out a new desktop app for macOS users that allows you to ask ChatGPT questions using a keyboard shortcut (Option + Space) and capture and discuss screenshots directly within the app. ?For example, you can work alongside ChatGPT on coding tasks or documents in other tools. The PC version is coming later in the year.
You will also be able to have voice conversations with ChatGPT directly from your computer by tapping the headphone icon in the bottom right corner of the app.
Once available, users will be invited to download the macOS app from their ChatGPT workspace, with broader availability coming in the next few weeks.
Edit DALL·E images for easier iteration
?You can now edit images created by DALL·E conversationally. Once an image is generated, you can select a specific area to modify or ask for edits to the image. This gives you more control to get the result you’re looking for.
GPT actions can now import and send files on your behalf
You can now add more context to your ChatGPT conversations by importing files from other systems through GPT actions. Actions can return multiple files in most formats, such as CSV, XLSX, DOCX, and PDF. GPTs can also send DALL·E-generated images, ChatGPT-created charts, or any other file in your conversation to other systems, keeping your data updated across tools.?Learn more about connecting GPT actions to external APIs.?

Enhanced security with the option to log out of all devices
This new security feature allows users to log out of all active sessions at once to prevent unauthorized access. You can find it under Settings > Security.?
