OpenAI is getting some LoveFrom, Jony
“…when it comes to a potential mainstream human-AI interface, the man who has spent the past five years preoccupied with buttons—going so far as to create a five-volume history of garment fasteners—could be, in a somewhat inevitable way, the exact kind of person required to walk this particular tightrope of ethics and ambition.”
- Sophie Charara in WIRED on how Jony Ive's LoveFrom is working with OpenAI to build AI devices that are less “socially disruptive” than the iPhone.
I’m ready to tap my ApplePay, but Sam Altman says the collaboration is “a long way away."
Until then, I’ll be delighted by, and watching on repeat, the playful bear on the LoveFrom website, and nerding out on the story behind creating the serif font.
Jony Ive deep dive inspired by this New York Times article.
Thanks for the share, Ben Liebmann , and mentorship, Musa Tariq .

2 个月It’s certainly a watch this space moment, teaming up with OpenAI to create the next generation of computing, possibly phone possibly watch possibly eyewear? I think visuals will be just as important as instruction from the AI assistant that’ll seamlessly interact and blend into our every day routine. Whatever it becomes you know the design will come from love with the intention for all to love.
