Open Your Eyes: The World's Indifference to Israel's Struggle and the True Threat from Tehran

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has faced an unprecedented and barbaric assault. Thousands of rockets have been fired into densely populated civilian areas, while Hamas terrorists infiltrated our borders, committing unimaginable atrocities—mass murder, kidnappings, and acts of unspeakable brutality against women and children. Yet, despite the clear facts on the ground, much of the world, particularly in the West, continues to turn a blind eye.

The situation is clear: since that fateful day, Israeli citizens have been subjected to relentless rocket fire. Families are confined to bomb shelters, businesses are paralysed, and everyday life has been shattered. Despite the clear aggression, large parts of the international community remain indifferent, with some even choosing to protest in support of “Free Palestine,” oblivious to the horrors perpetrated by Hamas.

Does the world truly comprehend what it would mean if such a tragedy were to unfold in Paris, London, or New York? What if rockets targeted your home, your family? What if your children were kidnapped, your loved ones butchered? Israel is fighting for its very survival, yet in response, the West's prevailing narrative often unjustly vilifies our defensive efforts, while many turn a deaf ear to the endless suffering inflicted upon our citizens.

The hypocrisy of the "Free Palestine" movement must be exposed. Their support of Hamas is not a fight for human rights but a defence of a terrorist organisation that ruthlessly slaughters innocent civilians. While people in Europe and the United States march in support of Palestinians, they ignore the hundreds of Israelis who have been murdered, the families torn apart, and the children who will never return home.

This wilful blindness must stop. Imagine if such violence hit your streets. Would you sit by idly as your loved ones were massacred, or would you rise up in defence? Israel is on the front lines of a battle for survival, and the international indifference to these atrocities is nothing short of a betrayal of the most basic human values.

The world must open its eyes and realise that Israel is not the aggressor but the victim of an unrelenting terrorist assault. It is time to end the illusions and understand the gravity of the threat.

But this battle is not only about Israel’s survival—it is about the future of the entire region. To secure the safety and well-being of all, the war must be brought to an end on all fronts, particularly in Gaza and Lebanon. The people of these regions, like Israelis, yearn for a normal life, free from the fear of terrorism and war. For the sake of the next generation, the children who will inherit this land, we must act decisively.

It is imperative that the world directs its efforts towards the true architect of this terror—the Iranian regime. It is the mullahs in Tehran who have nurtured and armed the monsters of Hamas and Hezbollah, and they must be held accountable. We have reached the heads of these terrorist groups, and we will reach the heart of Tehran if necessary.

The Iranian people, however, are not our enemy. They are a brilliant, advanced nation, and we must not allow the despotic regime of the ayatollahs to trample on their hopes, on our safety, and on the future of the Middle East. It is time for the world to unite in protest—not against Israel, but against the tyranny that threatens us all. Stand for peace and freedom, and stand against oppressive regimes that seek only to perpetuate violence and destruction.

Let this be a call to action: for the sake of peace, for the sake of our children, and for the future of the region.

I agree with that... but the other side of that opinion is that Israel does not need to starve and treat innocent Palestinians... children .. as they have. There is such distaste in Europe for what has happened to Israel but as Hamas may hide behind the innocents, to starve and make a whole state refugees is just as bad. . Is Israel more interested in fighting Hamas than getting the hostages back. This is the problem. Israel has my total support for what has happened but the way it deals with issues like this..as always..? creates a next generation of extremists to hate Isreal. Netinyahu has dealt with this atrociously.
