So sorry to hear that.? This is the first statement from anyone who sees “Open to Work”. ?“Don’t you think you will be downplayed in the job market? In social media?? In social gathering? “? Well the answer is they have not retired from life for sure, it may be a pause at a right time :-)
Easier said than done, it is not an easy state to be in especially when you have large responsibilities on your shoulders.? It may be also a right time to rewound and look at some areas that we have just ignored for long….
Enjoying a good meal
Almost many of us ignore this and try to grab a bite either over a call, or through a meeting or most of the times in haste.? This is time to eat and enjoy your every meal, enjoy the taste, enjoy the fresh cooked meal aroma, love with which it is prepared . . . . .Great way to start your prayers before every meal and try to ritualize it with gratitude, every religion reinforces it.? When was your last time that you enjoyed your meal? Time to take a good meal now.
Enjoy early morning walk / exercise
Exercise without any excuse and practicing any cardio exercises may be one of the good ways to rejuvenate your body.? A well exercised body is bound to produce positive mind to gain up our next innings positively and may be in a different and correct direction.?
?Enjoy time with family
There is tremendous time many of us have lost to spend with our families due to several compelling priorities.? This is that moment to take time and run time for your loved ones.?
?Talk to your parents
领英推荐
“I will talk to you later” may have been very common excuse when it comes to parents, that includes me right at the top.? Later may be today. Almost all of us will agree that there can be none other than parents to love us without expecting anything in return.? Spend some time with them.? If possible read them a nice book, watch a movie or just be next to them confirming this moment is precious as they are with you.?
Enjoy your sleep
Almost all of us are sleep deprived.? The next day meeting / deliverables have been haunting most of us even in sleep, so take a chill pill and relax now.? Listen to some nice songs, ebooks, gather some insightful wisdom through books and enjoy your sleep and learn to relax.?
Cheer up for your interviews
The anxiety quotient is too high during the times of “Open to Work” as the tendency is to grab with whatever available and move again.? Many of us work very hard during this phase naturally.? In one of my interviews I was just myself and gave honest answers.? The perception was that such nice personalities can never exist.? While speaking to them, I realize this was the perception that I had built in.? Being honest and good is important but it may also not be wise to waste time brooding over it.?
During such times, ?when nothing we do seems making any meaningful sense and success destination seemed to be hollow, ?I have found so many kind hearts that instantaneously came to help with one tag I tied my profile to “Open to Work”.? As a firm believer of kind hearts across there are many hands that come forward to helping.? You get to understand the power of human relationship.? In particular if you had credible life of supporting people at right time, life has no limits to see the outcome of this during our difficult times.? Learn to clean this time to align to various positive souls and energies around to inviting clarity. ?For all you know, you may be tidying up and create better spaces for your new possibilities!
Not an easy phase at all to many of us. This time shall pass. Like many of you, I also await good times. Staying strong this time is key for our next innings.

2 周Beautifully said. I completely agree. Taking time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves and our loved ones during these times can be transformative. It’s a reminder to find strength in simplicity, appreciate the kindness around us, and trust that this phase, like all others, will pass. Thank you for sharing these reflections – it’s inspiring and a reminder to stay hopeful and grounded.??
