When I think about why I wanted to be a professional musician… the answer is easy. Playing drums was simply my favorite thing to do. And, more specifically, a career as a musician allowed me to do ALL the things I loved to do and get paid for it; Being creative. Being Social. Performing. Literally bringing joy to people. A sense of spontaneity, with each day being different. No matter how many times you perform the same song or the same show, it’s never exactly the same. It was my dream to do something I loved and make a living... to pursue passion as a profession.

As it turns out, my “day job” was basically the same. From being a sales person to a general manager to a vice president, these roles have all provided the same fulfillment I’ve felt as a musician. And today, I’m doing exactly what I had always hoped I’d do. I turned a hobby into a profession. Today, I create. I collaborate. I socialize. I perform. I improvise. I’ve turned a hobby into career… I’m literally doing my favorite things to do… and get paid to do them…and, I still get to play drums.
