Open Letter to Lindiwe Zulu, Minister of Small Business Development

Good day Hon Minister.

I am a citizen of SA that resides in the Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth in Ward 5 in Central and I am a proud member of the ANC, ANCYL, PYB and SASCO. I am also a business owner, a company called S Martins Agencies, we specialize in Accounting, Financial management and Tax services. Seeing that you are the Minister of Small Business Development, I would like to make a suggestion based on the way SEDA, NYDA and other incubators are run. When businesses are given a services by either NYDA/SEDA I feel that they are helped and then they are left i the dark with no clients and nothing to work with, eg If someone requested financial assistant and equipment in NYDA, they are given everything but then there after the is no sytem in place that will make sure that the Business person will remain in business or will have clients to work with.

Now I think it will be much better if the people that are assisted by these government agencies will then in return be allocated mentors that will ensure their growth and after that they are made service providers in the Government agencies to ensure that they remain in business and in return they will employ more people to work for them.

The selection of the service providers will happen in a way that the Business person will go through an assessment that will test his abilities and knowledge in the service or product he/she is offering.

Do you need to say what political party you affiliated with, when coming up with solutions for the Government, I think you should have approached this matter as a Young South African....
