An open letter to the leaders of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

Dear Neigbour,

India and Afghanistan have shared a long history together, some bitter, some sweet, we feel connected with you as we got a glimpse of your country through some of the films which incorporated your culture and brought out the beauty of your country.

Unfortunately, your country was controlled by a foreign power for so many years like ours You had a government of your own people who were loyal to these foreigners and thus it was not truly represented by the local Afghans.

Now that these foreigners have left and you have so wonderfully marched all the way to the capital and taken charge without a bullet being fired, as good neighbors we must go all out to help you in ensuring that you are able to run a country with your people in an efficient manner.

As a democratic country for 75 years, we have learnt and trained many people who experience can be shared with your country for a few years timeframe to assist you in rebuilding your economy.

Mr. Hamid Ansari – He was the vice president of India and an administrator and a foreign service officer for a long time. I am sure he will be more than happy to offer his services by relocating to your beautiful country in this hour of need.

We also have many eminent economists and finance professionals like Mr. P Chidambaram, Mr. Amartya Sen, Mr. Kaushik Basu, Mr. Andy Mukherjee who can volunteer their time and energies to make your country great again and help you avoid the mistakes they truly believed India had made thus fast forwarding your growth.

For helping governance and run day to day administration in your country, to giving valuable insights and a hands-on experience to strengthen your political rostrum, Mr. Sanjay Raut, Shri. Arvind Kejriwal and most importantly Ms. Mamata Banerjee who has so ably demonstrated her expertise in working with neighboring countries and welfare of their people can provide valuable inputs.

In today’s day and age, it would be very important to have a good judicial system in place along with able administrative machinery. For the judicial part we have extremely capable and eminent lawyers who have time and again proven their capability of helping our other neighbours and have multi country expertise. Mr. Prashant Bhushan, Mr. Kapil Sibal, Mr. Salman Khurshid and Mr. Mruntunjyay Katju would be glad to offer their services.

In a fast-advancing world, being digitally savvy and knowledge of social media is a key – Our friend Saket Gokhale would fit the bill and help you in your social media strategy. On TV screens when you want someone to represent you and defend the mistakes which could have been committed Tehseen Poonawala does an admirable job defending the indefensible. His loyalty to the leadership is unmatchable.

Farming and agriculture are an important aspect of any country. Mr. Rakesh Tikait, along with his key people can spend a few years helping you develop the agricultural base and set up the infrastructure for marketing the agriculture produce in your country.

A flourishing entertainment industry not only helps get good foreign exchange into the country but also creates jobs for thousands of people – We have a plethora of volunteers in this space all ready to help a lending hand to you by making Afghanistan a vibrant country – From Aamir Khan, Javed Akhtar, Swara Bhaskar, Anurag Kashyap, Kunal Kamra there are many such folks who will be more than happy to assist you in this regard.

Someone with great international media experience can help you firm up the narrative and expertise about how you portray your country to international agencies and powers. Barkha Dutt, Ravish Kumar and Rajdeep Sardesai, Arfa Khanum have shown a keen interest in helping you develop your communications strategy for which they will spend their time and energy by staying in multiple cities like Kabul, Herat, Kandhar so that every nook and corner of your country is represented.

Education is an integral part of building a country, having a correct narrative of the history of a country, and integrating that into the education system so that the future generations are brought up on the realities of the past can be put in place by Ms. Romila Thapar and Mr. Ram Guha.

So, as you can see, being good neighbours it is our moral duty to help you and thus have put various experts to help you across different fields. You could issue long term visa’s and contracts to these eminent people. If you believe that you would want to grant them citizenship, we will have no objection in letting them surrender their Indian citizenship for the bigger goal of helping you.?We hope that you will appreciate this gesture of ours.
