An Open Letter to Labour Party (Nigeria)

An Open Letter to Labour Party (Nigeria)

Dear Labour Party,

The Nigerian political scene has been on fire for the past 11 months! A wave of freedom, hope, political inclusion, & honesty is sweeping the nation. Nigeria may soon become a thriving nation with the diasporas proud of our shared identity across the globe

Mr.PeterObi's hopeful leadership inspired the birth of the Obedient movement, which is now the talk of the town. With election court battles raging in the court, we must continue in order to shape the future as visionaries do.

We've created an unstoppable force. Like the blockchain, its decentralized and malicious nodes (like the Rivers State LP team) are quickly knocked off. The Obedient movement and Labour Party are like a pregnant woman ready to birth a new Nigeria. Let's build on our successes and keep pushing for progress in our political space.

Some weeks ago, I was speaking with someone about some things I think the Labour Party should do, and to my surprise, Mr. Peter Obi mentioned one of them on @AriseTV. Let's delve in.

1. The Need for an Academic Institution on Governance & Politics

Mr. Peter Obi's mentioned that the Labour Party wants to establish a dedicated academic institution to teach governance and politics. The need to train future public servants in good governance practices has never been greater, given current global challenges like corruption, inequality, economic instability, etc. This institution could provide comprehensive programs designed specifically for political leaders from all backgrounds — both local and international—offering courses covering topics such as ethics in leadership, policy development strategies, or even diplomacy skills training.

Moreover, this would be beneficial not only at the level of politicians but also to their staff members who are responsible for implementing policies decided by these officials. Nigeria, the giant of Africa, has no doubt been falling. To rise again, we need new leaders in government and new politics who are honest, compassionate, zealous for good, and truly capable.

Obidatti's campaign style has taken Nigeria by storm. Other candidates are scrambling to adopt it. To ensure a bright future for Nigeria, we must share and teach the values exemplified by the Obidatti campaign. A society can't work well if the head is 100% & the body isn't. We need efficient governance to thrive. Peter Obi has revolutionized the Nigerian political landscape. His innovative approach to campaigning & governing is a blueprint for building a better Nigeria. Spread the word!

2. Governance Council:

Modern politics is embracing governance councils as a way to tap into the wisdom and experience of subject matter experts. These councils help steer government policies in the right direction. Peter Obi's leadership style proves that an effective governance council can drive development goals while reducing waste and corruption.

Having an advisory body comprising seasoned professionals from various fields could help enhance transparency, accountability, innovation, and inclusiveness within government decision-making processes. Leaders can gain informed insights by bringing together diverse perspectives on issues like economics, healthcare systems management, and foreign relations. The council will consist of individuals who have proven they know how to get the job done.

LP governors should be part of this council. Every state leadership should demonstrate a high level of governance - with visible results that set us apart from other parties. States should be encouraged to join forces in a collective effort for growth. The council members, with their wealth of experience, can help chart the course that guides states toward greater prosperity.

I believe the Governance Institute and Council will empower ambitious young Nigerians by educating, guiding, and mentoring them. It can also be applied at LGA levels. It'll give them the confidence to tackle challenges, advance their careers and drive positive change.?

Together, Nigeria can thrive under the leadership of the Labour Party and Peter Obi. Let's work towards a brighter future, Nigerians!

Thank you.?

This is a really good read. Steps towards introducing politics and Good governance into the Nigerian education system, shows that Obidatti is not merely here to make a mark for 8 years but to leave a lasting footprint in the modern history of Nigeria like our founding fathers.. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

I like the analogy you did with blockchain here, indeed the Obidient movement is fully decentralized and autonomous… there’s no inducement because e no Dey give shishi… and if any node within the chain gets currupted, it’s kicked out because it would lack validation across other nodes. I’m looking forward to a more inclusive government where the leaders are held accountable from their first day in office and I’m sure this would be the case with P.O’s government and across all Labour Party projected leaders across the country. #My2Satoshi
