An open letter of appreciation to the Clearsulting team...
I often get asked, “Why did you do this? What made you start Clearsulting?” My answer is very basic – the vision was to create something special and different. I wanted to go to work every day with drive and passion. I wanted to create an environment where work didn’t feel like work.
That basic vision has turned into a reality because of all of you. We’ve had amazing success in a short amount of time. As the leader of the company, I often get credited for a lot of our success. For example, people tell me, “It’s amazing what you’ve built.” When that happens, it makes me extremely uncomfortable. To be honest, I get a weird feeling in my stomach and typically change the subject. The reason it makes me uncomfortable is because all of you deserve the credit. Each of you, individually and as a team, have put your hand prints on Clearsulting. You make Clearsulting what it is today.
Thank you.
Words can’t do justice to how much I appreciate all of you. Day in and day out, I’m amazed with the growth I see throughout the company. It’s inspiring to witness how well everyone works together to achieve a common goal. Let’s continue to build – brick by brick.
Thank you.
I never dreamed we would be at this point this soon. The numbers that we’ve achieved are something to be proud of; however, what I’m most proud of is the culture we’ve built. I mean this when I say it – you are all cultural co-founders. Things like GRIT Squad, Clearsulting Cares, Level Up, and Festive Fridays are fantastic, not only because they accomplish important goals, but because they reflect the powerful personalities we have at this company. We consistently make each other better not only professionally but also personally. That is what I’m most proud of.
Thank you.
I’d like everyone to take the time to do a quick activity. As you read this email, think of someone in the company who has made you a better person. Not someone who taught you hard skills but someone who has made a big impact on your life. Pick up the phone. Call that person for two minutes. Say “thank you” and let them know that you appreciate them.
The core value that we are celebrating today is balance. Balance has played a big role in our growth and will continue to be critical moving forward. It is important for everyone to have interests outside of work because balance ultimately makes you a better professional. There will be an additional $100 in your next paycheck. Please consider this as an investment in balance. Use it on something that balances you as a person.
Thank you.
You’ve all made me a better person. I learn every single day from all of you. I’m a better Dad, Husband, Friend, Brother, Son, and CEO today than I was three years ago. You’ve all played a big role in that. I hope that’s the case for all of you as well and for anyone else who joins us on the Clearsulting journey.
Stay awesome,
Marc
