Earlier this summer, I finally joined a coaching program–until now, I’ve struggled to find a professional coach that I felt would work with me as the individual I am and not try to mold me into some other version of my Self…I need my freedom to experiment and pursue ??. Thankfully, I have a tremendous network of advisors, creatives, and entrepreneurs whom I have been able to lean on for advice, guidance, and sounding boards.?
And then, I was introduced to Brand Builders Group when I needed it by my friend Elyse Archer, a guest on the On Our PRST podcast.
For years, I was able to navigate my way with the help of my friends, but I had reached a point in my career where I knew I had reached the extent of my expertise if I was going to be able to bring my message about the importance of aligning spirit, mind, body, and money in the Pursuit of the authentic life. At first, it was tough to admit I couldn’t figure it out on my own–but my expertise is crafting my message, building up my personal brand, and getting the finely crafted message in front of more people to increase my impact is nowhere near that of the Brand Builders Group.
Admitting I needed help wasn’t easy, as I took pride in always figuring things out, but it was necessary.
Yesterday was the first of a two-day class called “Brand DNA”, which basically helps me break down the problem I solve into one word, helps me define the ideal market (not the only market, though), and explain my brand in one word—I’ll share more on this in the future. I ended the day extremely excited, not just because I have some of the one-word simplifications down but because my thoughts on the authentic life are much clearer because of the conversations I had with other people—having the space to talk through things out loud and get some feedback was invaluable as I clarified who I am and what I do.
September 28th, 2023, was a breakthrough moment for me—busting through a glass ceiling I’ve been bumping into for the last couple of years, and it would not have been possible by my Self.
You might be like me–the type who likes to try to figure things out on your own, and while there is time to go at it alone, there will come a point in your Pursuit where you will need the help of others, and I encourage you to welcome that help!
The Pursuit of your authentic life is not a solo endeavor–lean on the people in your life, especially those who happen to come into your life at just the right time.
