Open Day at La Credenza

Open Day at La Credenza

La Credenza have hosted an open day at our HQ in Colliers Wood SW19 Wednesday 14th of June. We pride ourselves on a supplier list of the finest Italian producers of the best artisan ingredients and items.

Italy is a land justly proud of its gastronomic heritage. Many of our best and oldest producers were in attendance. Carlo from Dok Dall'Ava with their range of Prosciutti: San Daniele 18 months to San Daniele Nr10 24th months, Hundok, Dok Fumato smoked and the wonderful range of Dall'Ava Bakery Maria Vittoria with the Panettone 10kg and new range of Pane Volante crackers.

Carozzi displayed a range of their Gorgonzola, Taleggio with the addition of their new Goat's cheeses. We had a wide selection of soft goat's cheeses from Piemonte and Caseficio Il Fiorino attended the event with their unique range of farmhouse Pecorino made using only local milk from the Maremma area in Tuscany.

Salvatore Pugliese from Sap salumi presented his N'duja SPilinga and the new range of spicy products.

Michele from Giusti representing the oldest producer of genuine Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in the world, as well as the 5th oldest company in Italy, highlights of his range were a beautiful presentation case of vinegars and 100 year old Balsamic in a bottle featuring 24ct gold lettering!

Balsamic vinegar matches perfectly with Parmesan cheese, and on offer for clients to taste was a wheel of Sola Bruna Parmigiano Gennari, a superior, rarer version of the famous cheese. MariaNava did some masterclasses on how to cook her Acquerello rice simply boiling it and dressing it with the Gennari Parmigiano and Lemon Oil from Muraglia. Savino Muraglia showed off his range of EVO Olive Oils from Puglia.

As well as the oldest most famous producers, there were new producers such as Mo’ Buffala a company only a year old. They are producing a delicious range of fresh cheeses all made with Buffalo milk. Everything is sourced from within the Puglia region. Mo Bufala is hoping that their Buffalo milk Burrata will be a success with La Credenza customers.

Lovison Salame, making traditional Salumi in Friuli since 1903, this company is a recent addition to La Credenza’s range.  Also, representing the lush landscape of Piedmont was Luciana and Daniele from Oberto and their range of fresh and cured beef products made with the famous Fassona breed of Piemontese cow.

La Credenza has a customer list that includes some of the most well-known Restaurants and prestigious food halls in the UK. Chefs and Buyers came from all over London to chat to the producers.

All had their thirst quenched by La Credenza’s neighbours Wimbledon Brewery who provided a refreshing range of their craft beers.

I personally would like to thank all the customers, friends that made the effort to attend the event, my wonderful team #teamlacredenza, my close friends producers, our neighbours Richard and Mark and the Team of the Wimbledon Brewery

See you ALL next year
