Open access: what transparency means to me
Medical Publishing Insights & Practices (MPIP) was founded by members of the pharmaceutical industry and the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) to elevate trust, transparency, and integrity in reporting the results of industry-sponsored research.
So I was delighted to be asked to write this blog post supporting MPIP's initiative “What Transparency Means to Me” that allows interested parties to share their perspectives on why transparency in data reporting is essential to patient care, scientific understanding, and credibility. Past blog topics include the ICMJE data sharing requirement statement, predatory journals, and peer review.
