Hello O’ Brilliant One,
And, what a day.
Today, our team experienced unexpected hurdles amid the launch of my new book, Resilience@Work. Our much-anticipated e-book offer hit a snag due to unforeseen technical difficulties, and I am eager to take you behind the scenes of our journey – a journey that embodies the very resilience we advocate for in the book.
As the morning unfolded, our team encountered unexpected challenges in delivering the promised e-book offer. We had envisioned a seamless experience for our readers, only to face the realities of technology's unpredictability. Nevertheless, we believe in transparency and vulnerability and that is why I wanted to share this moment with you.
When our team first realized what had occurred, the feeling of hurry struck. We immediately began to rush into analyzing how to inform you of what happened, how to fix it, and how to do this as fast as possible. Then, our emotions transferred to being worried. We believe this experience is just as much yours as it is ours and want to honor that. We were worried about you being able to access the book, and how this may affect the overall book launch.
After taking a step back, our team quickly realized harping on the hurry and worry of this situation wasn’t going to get us anywhere, and it surely wasn’t going to help you. So, we dove into the advice from Resilience@Work and knew we had to approach the feelings of being Ready and Steady.
This mind shift allowed us to better brainstorm how to make the most of the situation that has occurred. Although the e-book offer was off the table for the day, we knew it was available for later in the week. We also knew that the hardcover of Resilience@Work successfully launched and was something we could still celebrate today.
I wanted to share this with you to show that although I can write about resilience, I still encounter situations that test my capabilities. As I have mentioned before, the characters from Resilience@Work, are all phases of my life that I have gone through, and even though I like to believe that I mostly live in a state of Steady and Ready, sometimes emotions take over, and I find myself feeling like Hurry and Worry.

And you know what? That’s okay.
What matters in life is how you move on. How you continue to be resilient and face the challenges life throws at you. Just because something isn’t perfect, doesn’t mean it isn’t right. I am perfectly imperfect, just like today’s book launch.
So, I want to thank you. Thank you for your support, your kindness, and for simply reading along about a story that is real and imperfect.
Despite the setbacks, our excitement for you to embrace Resilience@Work remains undiminished. The hard copy of the book is readily available for those eager to delve into its pages and find inspiration for their own journey.
And with that, I will leave you with one last note –?you are resilient, O’ Brilliant One.
Have a great day.
