Shrinking attention spans


The world’s first televised presidential debate was between Nixon and Kennedy in 1960. Harvard University predicted that the average attention span was 42 seconds. Kennedy responded in 40 second site bites. JFK won.
In 2008 attention span had dropped to less than 5 seconds. ‘Yes We Can’ seemed to fit the time available! Obama also won the 2012 race.
