Onwards and upwards.....
When I started Amaro Shopfitting back in 2015 I had big plans for it, I knew what size I wanted to grow to and knew the type of work I was wanting to do. I knew it would take time and lots of planning but nothing was going to stop me.
Everything started in my parents garage where I manufactured shop counters, mainly for start up businesses. I thrived off the passion these start ups all had and even came up with our tag line 'Inspired by your passion, driven by ours'. I travelled the length and breadth of the UK delivering and installing our counters and meeting lots of amazing people, all with dreams as big as my own.
I stayed in my parents garage for as long as I could as the rent was cheap ￡0.00 and the electric I used was even cheaper, the coffee and cakes on tap helped too (thanks mum). But last year i decided that Amaro was working for us as a family and thought it was time for phase 2, a proper workshop.
We found two great little workshops side by side and they were well within our budget. We moved in as soon as the paper work was completed.
Since making the move and the first step up the growth ladder we have had the pleasure of working with some fantastic clients on some very exciting projects.
At the end of last year I decided it was time to start working on phase 3 of Amaro. We had found our feet and had invested in better equipment to help deliver a better service and I/we was ready for something bigger.
I always wanted to take on a larger contract which would show people what we could offer and to really showcase our work, what better than the Lincolnshire museum here in Scunthorpe.
A contractor that we have done several jobs for approached me and asked if I would be interested in the fit out of the new geology department at the museum.
This was it, this was the job. I obviously jumped at it.
After several weeks working with the museum and local council and researching all the requirements of a museum we are well underway and shall be completed this week.
It has been a fantastic contract and hopefully the first of many. I will be sharing photos of the finished project but for now here's a sneak preview
