As the curtains rise on a new chapter, we find ourselves reflecting and celebrating the previous year. The end of 2023 was more than the culmination of exciting initiatives and achievements, it was also a celebration of the values that define us.

Festive Year End Celebrations Across Southeast Asia!
As we bid farewell to another remarkable year, our Zalorians came together to celebrate with their teams across the region.
In the Philippines, our Zalorians celebrated 2023 with unparalleled style and sophistication at the luxurious XYLO at the palace, Manila’s premier nightclub. The venue with its cutting-edge tech and luxuriant interiors set the stage for a night unlike any other.
Dressed to impress, our Zalorians showcased their fantastically unique Z-styles on the dance floor. Adorned with dazzling lights and rhythmic beats, our most energetic of Zalorians amazed us with their sleek twirls, energetic grooves, and BIG ZALORA Energy. Libations flowed freely as the night unfolded, with the clinking of glasses adding to the symphony of joyous celebration.
The bar, adorned with an exquisite array of cocktails, served as a focal point for colleagues to mingle, connect, and raise a toast to the collective achievements of our team. Strengthening our bonds and creating lasting memories, the celebration also reflected our Limitless spirit - dynamic, elegant, and always ready for the next big adventure
In Singapore, our Zalorians had rad time blasting back to the past with a 90s themed party! The air was filled with nostalgia as we transported ourselves back in time to the era of grunge, boy bands, and dial-up internet.
The party scene was straight out of a neon dream, with fluorescent and strobing laser lights casting an energizing glow across the venue. Zalorians decked out in flannel, oversized denim, and bucket hats embraced the era by taking polaroids at our photo booth adorned with iconic 90s posters and vibing with the beats from our DJ and Spotify chart topper, Zillennial musician, Layyi!
For the first time ever, we introduced a mobile bar that rolled in with a selection of festive cocktails, bringing in a whole new level of cool to the celebration. Zalorians got to sip ‘Xmas Mimosas’ and ‘Merry Mistletoe’ concoctions whilst enjoying the party!
In Indonesia and Malaysia, our party kicked off with a celebration of our long-service awards, a recognition of our longest serving Zalorians! The festivities then shifted into an evening of delicious foods and games!
Our Indonesian Zalorians in both our fulfilment centre and offices were treated to an afternoon of celebration as a token of appreciation from Aashish Midha , ZALORA CEO, Philippines and Indonesia.
Meanwhile in Malaysia, our Zalorians were treated to an in-house ice-cream parlour serving up frosty winter treats and a rich spread of assorted delights, and had a round of lucky draws with one of the top prizes being a much coveted Nintendo switch!?
Here's to a year filled with continued success, unforgettable celebrations, and the unwavering camaraderie that defines ZALORA!
Volunteering with Gratitude and Purpose
As the festive spirit enveloped us with warmth and joy, Zalorians in the Philippines and Malaysia came together in the true spirit of giving back to the community, by volunteering their time to deliver food for those in need.
In ZALORA Philippines, 22 Zalorians partnered with Scholars Of Sustenance Philippines - SOS Philippines , a food rescue foundation that aims to tackle food deficits around Southeast Asia. Through their rescue kitchen program, Zalorians prepared ingredients and cooked over 500 nutritious meals using rescued surplus food products.
Beyond providing delicious meals to those in need within our local communities, our Zalorians’ combined efforts diverted 119 kilograms of surplus food from being disposed of; that’s the equivalent of 300 kilograms of CO2 emissions diverted from landfills!
In ZALORA Malaysia, 18 Zalorians had a similar idea, and volunteered their time at The Assembly Soup Kitchen (T.A.S.K.) , a Malaysian non-profit organisation dedicated to providing balanced meals for those in need.
The team embraced the opportunity to connect with the community, preparing baskets of donated and rescued potatoes and other ingredients to prepare a mouthwatering chicken curry dish. Their compassion, enthusiasm, and willingness to contribute exemplify the #ForceForGood value we hold dear at ZALORA, where we believe that small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of others, especially during the holiday season.
As we celebrate the joyous festivities, let us remember the power of coming together and making a positive impact on the world around us. We are immensely proud of our team for embodying the spirit of giving, and we look forward to more opportunities to contribute to the well-being of our local communities in the coming year.
ZALORA Operational Excellence and FC teams visit SIRIM
The festive year end shopping season is always a busy period for our fulfilment teams as they hustle to ensure your purchases and gifts arrive on your doorsteps in time for the holidays.
To continuously improve our processes and your shopping experience, our Operational Excellence and Fulfilment Center teams visited the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM). Owned by the Minister of Finance (Incorporated), SIRIM is Malaysia’s premier industrial research and technology organisation, and champion of operations quality.
The visit aimed to enhance our warehouse operations by assimilating best practices and innovative solutions. Our team engaged in insightful discussions throughout the session on hot topics such as:
- Industry 4.0
- Collaborative robot automation
- Smart Manufacturing
- Packaging & Security Design
- Frugal Innovation
As we continue to prioritise excellence in every facet of our operations, these learnings from SIRIM are poised to play a pivotal role in propelling our fulfilment capabilities to new heights.
