OnTheRoad Report #1

SAN ANTONIO, TX

Three days in the hill country, north of San Antonio with some of the most brilliant people on the planet:  MonitorEDU’s team made its first conference tour at ATP: Innovations in Testing 2018

Our initial focus was to meet with industry leaders, potential partners, and prospective customers as we continue to build out our brand.   I was very pleased with the interest in learning more about how we are innovating technology and service offerings in test security.

I have personally attended the ATP conference going back to 2010 or 2011. This was the first time that my trusted advisor, Joe Schmoke, attended and he came away very impressed with all of the smart people we met with.

Although I always learn a lot about the industry at these venues, the real value has always been in the connections being made - it truly is the “who’s who?” conference for testing.

VENUE/TRIP REPORT for weary travelers…...the JW Marriott was fantastic - a stunning property.  The main level bar and meeting area provided ample space to meet and the adjacent sports bar and restaurant was lively with a solid menu and drink selection….although watch out for that $37 glass of scotch! (Lagavulin). The onsite Starbucks turned into my “San Antonio Office” for a few days.   We did get to spend one night downtown on the Riverwalk and enjoyed an amazing dinner at Boudro’s where we were able to secure a “riverside” table.  Amazing ribeye and a great wine selection.

Conference gets an A

Food/City gets an A

Getting around - B (Texas roadways - lots of construction and confusing sideways)

Weather - C - rain and a little muggy

See you at the next stop……
