MUST have outstanding verbal communication!

Must be willing to convert after 6 months. USC, GC, GC EAD, TN etc.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

? Responsible for design, development, testing, maintenance and support activities to Snowflake Data Platform and projects

? Review and implement Snowflake standards

? Collaborate with project team for data solutions

? Develop SQL Scripts and Stored Procedures

? Develop Unix Shell Scripts.

? Work on data load issues resolution and reload the data

? Work on database design.

? Create DDL scripts for database objects.

? Create AZDO CI/CD pipelines.

? Knowledge of SQL language and cloud-based technologies

? Data warehousing concepts, data modeling, metadata management

? Knowledge of Data lakes, multi-dimensional models, data dictionaries

? Knowledge of migration to Azure Snowflake platform

? Understand performance tuning and setting up resource monitors

? Knowledge of Snowflake modeling – roles, databases, schemas

? SQL performance measuring, query tuning, and database tuning

? ETL tools with cloud-driven skills

? Integration with third-party tools

? Ability to build analytical solutions and models

? Coding in languages like Python, Java, JavaScript

? Root cause analysis of models with solutions

? Hadoop, Spark, and other warehousing tools

? Managing sets of XML, JSON, and CSV from disparate sources

? SQL-based databases like Oracle SQL Server, Teradata, etc.

? Snowflake warehousing, architecture, processing, administration

? Data ingestion into Snowflake

? Enterprise-level technical exposure to Snowflake applications

? Interprets, identifies, and solves unique and meaningful problems

? Development of code and procedures affecting hundreds of daily users

? Leads technical contribution to requirements / story development conversations

? Ensures thorough technical grooming

? Communicates complex findings in a structured and clear manner to a non-technical???audience (written and verbal) including communication to leadership

? Follows best practices and standards, identifies gaps and suggests changes

? Responsible for understanding environmental constraints and planning to mitigate

? Leads design around performance testing and can performance tune complex environments

? Works respectfully with all team members, both OneAmerica colleagues and vendor partner team members

? Provides recommendations for overall enterprise data architecture

? Synthesize data and strategy to provide clear concise recommendations to the product teams

Create, test, and implement enterprise-level apps with Snowflake

? Design and implement features for identity and access management

? Create authorization frameworks for better access control

? Implement novel query optimization, major security competencies with encryption

? Solve performance issues and scalability issues in the system

? Transaction management with distributed data processing algorithms

? Possess ownership right from start to finish

? Build, monitor, and optimize ETL and ELT processes with data models

? Migrate solutions from on-premises setup to cloud-based platforms

? Understand and implement the latest delivery approaches based on data architecture

? Project documentation and tracking based on understanding user requirements

? Perform data integration with third-party tools including architecting, designing, coding,??and testing phases

? Manage documentation of data models, architecture, and maintenance processes

? Continually review and audit data models for enhancement

? Maintenance of ideal data pipeline based on ETL tools

? Coordination with BI experts and analysts for customized data models and integration

? Code updates, new code development, and reverse engineering

? Performance tuning, user acceptance training, application support

? Maintain confidentiality of data

? Risk assessment, management, and mitigation plans

? Regular engagement with teams for status reporting and routine activities

? Migration activities from one database to another or on-premises to cloud

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience in database development or script development in or supporting a database environment

? 3+ years of experience working in the Snowflake Data Cloud as a developer

? Experience developing applications that auto-scale

? Experience building data pipelines

? Experience building ML workflows with fast data access and data processing

? Expert knowledge of software development methodology

? Superb communication and coaching skills with the ability to connect with members of the development teams

? Ability to apply and influence best practices and design patterns for software engineering
