..if only it were not so paradoxical

..if only it were not so paradoxical

We must never forget in therapy (coaching or any change work) even for a moment, its a dynamic space where the only thing that is certain is - its uncertainty, now do whatever you want - but do not try to make sense of it. Like Fritz says “Get out of your head’.

This is how the matter really stands, and know that ‘thinking is stinking’ and therefore go with your gut, go with the ‘whole of you’ and not just the head - and that is when nothing is unclear to the understanding.

The real impedance to the client’s resolution is that the therapist is astounded by their own map, which is indeed blinding to the other’s cognitive universe and experience.

Know that things are just as they must be, under the given condition. The presenting problem of the client is their ‘experience’ itself. So don't dig into the past! - there isnt anything there. The past has been transformed into the present - Dick Says "don't be too obsessed with the past", well isnt that what they all have said, be it Osho, Buddha, etc. There is nothing there - in the Past. So, whatever you are searching - is here. Whatever you are searching about the client and yourself - both are present ‘in the present’.

So to change the client’s story or to change their understanding of the experience, be willing to see their universe and, let them decide to change - what they want, when they want, as much as they want. and we must get out of their way !

The story of their experience is their experience itself. So when the change worker (the therapist/ coach/ etc) says that ‘the client is not making sense OR the client is stuck OR the case is intelligent. All what (the change worker) they are saying is - “it's not making sense to me, from where I am seeing it” OR "I am stuck” OR “Its beyond my cognition”

They are saying this, not because things are fa?ade (like Freud says) - its because the therapist is caught up in their own world of metaphors, stories and THAT is not making sense and THEY are therefore stuck.

Dear Reader : "Let me know if you are getting this text, It's my sincere attempt to make this text as complicated as I can so that you get where your intuition leads you and not be lead by this text, learn to follow the light.

As I wrote the above lines, I recollect what Jung said “When the understanding is all on my side, I find it advisable to stress my lack of understanding”

And guess what, it is relatively unimportant if the therapist understands the client OR not, What is really needed is ‘the agreement frame’ to the client’s universe - so that the therapist can be a good mirror - in which the client can see themself and Now make the decision as to what is to be blessed, fixed, allowed, accepted, seen, etc etc.

Dick says, “We all have the resources within ourselves” - also, it's one of the powerful Pressups of NLP. And here is how he said it, and I quote “when I am faced with a challenge, a situation or something that Crashes me, I know and believe that - I may not know the answers or the solutions to get around the situation - but sure enough - within me, I have the resources, that will take me to the light” - the light is what leads us all

If the therapist is anything other than the mirror, then it becomes dangerous - It's a prejudice from the standpoint of a certain experience, a certain doctrine. It's a judgement - or an objection - now this standpoint of the therapist may be academically or theoretically correct - but its the weed that will take away the Client’s garden

As a seeker of light, as that therapist - we must appeal to the psyche of the client - any other attempt is like being a wolf in a sheep’s skin. So ‘beware’ of that temptation And ‘be aware’ of your own shadows.

These are two amazing words in english antiquity - ‘beware’ and ‘Be Aware’ - I like them a lot.

Dear Reader : "Hope this text continues to be complicated, anything less would be unacceptable to me" ...

.. and may we all find the light !

Quintessentially you Anil Thomas .! Will need to go through this many times to decipher the full meaning of what some of the masters have said. The present is the only “ context” that matters because that can open doorways you the desired future . The past is just content .. useful to the extent that you are aware of it but don’t dwell on it!

It reminds me of what Ghalib said when a few poets complained to him that his writing was difficult., "...goyam mushkil, vagarna goyam mushkil." - It is difficult, otherwise it is difficult.
