Recently I was visiting in a book store, I love reading & if you are reading this article I am kinda sure that you love reading too. As I was heading back to the parking zone where my car was parked, I heard some people was yelling at each other, it was a heated argument without a doubt & I didn't understand what was that about.
I was just about to get into my car and suddenly one man came up to me and asked very rudely,
Is it your car?
I said: Yes
He said: Are you mad? You can't see or what?
I didn't understand anything yet, I just recognised that this is the same person who was arguing with other peoples.
Then I said: Sorry! But what happened?
He simply started yelling at me the same way he was doing a minute before with some other group of people.
But Instead of Ignoring him or yelling back at him I just tried to understand what exactly happened?
He was continuously saying "it is not your place to park your car! If I see next time i will break it with a stone!" and with every thing he was saying he added "This are the people with no brain".
Now some workers of that parking came up and tried to stop him arguing with everyone and ofcourse it created another argument!
I request them to stop arguing and let me speak with him for a second!
They let me,
I said to him: I apologise for everything I did wrong! And I would definitely never park my car here ever after again, I promise. I didn't know that this place belongs to you.
Those workers started yelling again: "Hey! That place doesn't belongs to him"
I ignored that and kept apologising for everyone yelling back at him.
He got silenced for a minute or two then with tearful eyes
He said: "Sir, That place doesn't belongs to me, they are right. I am sorry for yelling at you! But..." he stopped
I said: But?
He said: I bought this small shop for selling book 6 months ago, this place was cheap to buy and I invested all my savings into it to start a small book shop, but from past 3 months I have just sold 25 books because my store is now almost invisible because of this parking lot, Rich peoples come here and park their cars, what about us? I have 2 children to take care of. My store is almost invisible for this cars now!
Hiding his tears with his shirt.....
I felt it, now I felt when he said "This are the people with no brain"
There were other car owners to whom he was arguing also listens to him. I saw the sympathy in everyones eyes,
I asked them to talk to the police or submit a written objection to the dedicated municipality with all the store owners signature, Hopefully there was an government worker who took the responsibility to take care of this,
Even we talked to the parking management also & they confirmed the parking lot will be shifted to another place within a week or so!

"Everyone who was tempted & irritated with that person now suddenly feeling good for him"
Humans are social and emotional beings.
Undoubtedly, humans are more sensitive to feelings than any other animals.
Here are the top 5 emotions that profoundly influence people:
1. Love
2. Fear
3. Joy
4. Anger
5. Sadness
But without 1 ingredients this emotions can't be fulfilled and that ingredient is the only universal desire people are looking for but can't talk about!
It is Sympathy.
As Frank Tyger said “There is no greater loan than a sympathetic ear.”
Turn anything into Gold
I've observed many time that this simple one ingredient turned argument into understanding, division into unity, frustration into patience, despair into hope, resentment into forgiveness.
Those who master the skill of sympathy, those who can truly feel for others, already understand that it is a magic formula that can transform any bad situation into a good and favorable one.
So, next time an argument or bad situation arises, take a pause for at least 10 seconds. Remember, you can never truly win an argument, but you can always stop it, and that’s a bigger victory!
The one thing you, I, and all animals seek is sympathy.
But it’s not something you can ask for, it must be freely given.
