The only timing that matters is your own.

The only timing that matters is your own.

Today is the third day of July. The third day of our 31 days of July challenge.

As we discussed yesterday, we must decide our habits and vices wisely as those small events each day have a large effect on the person we become.

One of my newer habits is authoring short articles like this each morning and I truly enjoy these moments writing about what matters in my life so that others can get to know me just a little better.

We live in a world of notifications, alerts, and top 10 lists and it leads to the constant comparison of us versus others.

I don't have to be the one to tell you "comparison is the thief of joy" - Theodore Roosevelt

While scrolling LinkedIn this morning, the post "10 Must do things before you turn 30" caught my attention and warranted a look at the very least.

After reading the first item, I was beyond surprised how generic and useless it was, and the rest of the list was no different.

If everyone followed that list before turning 30, we would all be machines.

We would all be 'successful' and outright bored with life.

There would be no meaning.

Who cares how many billionaires there are.

Who cares about the top 10 things we must do before...

Who cares about anything like that.

Instead, the choices we make for ourselves and those we care about are the only choices that matter.

So the task for day three of our 31 days of July challenge is simple.

What choices will we make today to be happier, healthier, and more successful?

No matter what success looks like or feels like to others.

For me, once choice I make everyday is to cook breakfast for myself and my incredible fiancee.

I've done this going on six years now since we started dating and I can count on my fingers and toes how many days I haven't made breakfast.

To me, my mornings are a time to relax and enjoy the quiet before diving into the many financial challenges that I help my clients face each day.

Sure, I could spend that time marketing or in client meetings to be 'more successful faster', but my mornings are bliss and I wouldn't have it any other way!

So what choices do you make each day that make you happier and healthier?

Would you trade them for someone else's version of success?

Do you feel like you're behind on your goals?

Have you taken the time so answer to yourself, what your version of success looks like?

Grab a time on my calendar for an introduction. We'll get to know each other, figure out what is most important for you, and build a trackable system for your long-term financial success.
