There is only now

Plan B is an illusion. Something we tell ourselves is available if things don’t work out as anticipated.

But the birds have got it right: there is no plan B (Wild Hope).

There is only now and the actions we take today.

Because both the context and we have changed. Or, to borrow from Heraclitus: ‘We cannot step into the same river twice.’

So how can we cultivate hope ‘as a quality of the spirit that keeps us alive’*?
