The Only Man Who Could Have Stopped COVID-19

Finger pointing at who dropped the ball preventing COVID-19 has started with fingers being pointed at the Trump administration, at CDC, at the Chinese Communist Party, and at WHO! But if even one of these allegations turns out to be even partially true it will signal an even much larger failure. The failure of the Internet. A free internet would have identified the dangers of COVID-19 in a few days, maybe even hours, and raised the alarm. So what happened? Well, controlling data has become the new power game and data is a new weapon that the powerful covet and seek to control. Anyone in Wuhan who tried to warn the rest of the world would have been hunted down by the combined forces of the Chinese Communist Party and Google. If this conscientious person still was not deterred by the danger, they might have looked for someone outside of china that could helped them spread the warnings and made sure it was not censured. If this person had done a google search, they would have run into the sad stories about Assange, a man who dedicated his life to helping individuals like themselves get the word out in the face of censorship, being arrested and held in captivity under conditions that have been described by the UN as torture. But all was not lost, some information had leaked out of china to the outside world in January and once the CORONA-19 reached the US new datapoint originating outside of China became available and could have been pieced together by a free internet in time to provide an early warning before the virus got a foothold . But alas Twitter, Facebook, and Google had already decided what the official certified and approved truth was; what would be allowed to be discussed on the internet and what was "fake news". Unfortunately information which is publicly reported on news shows like CNBC and CNN today- such as the proximity of a level 4 lab just meters away from the Wuhan market where CORNA-19 was supposed to have originated - was considered not fit for me and you to hear about. Seriously would anyone not have had increased concern if they know that the location of the first known outbreak of COVID-19 was only meters away from the China Center for Virus Culture Collection which preserves hundreds of strains of deadly viruses including Corona visors!

If we want to stop COVID-19 and prevent future pandemics we need to free the internet and that starts with freeing Assange.
