Only humans after all.
We are only humans after all. We'll remember this for the next 100 years. Hopefully.
I was drinking a cup of coffee on my balcony, there was such a scary silence. 2 weeks ago we were singing from balconies, now we are just crying our victims.
No cars, no rush, no children playing soccer in the park in front of my building, no people talking. It seemed the day after tomorrow. How will tomorrow be like? I don't know, I just know that today is not good. While I was drinking my cup of coffee, I heard the sound of an ambulance's siren, while running crazily ..... someone in that ambulance was fighting for life while I was having my hot espresso. From that moment my coffee was much better than few seconds before. I realized how unique it was. I realized how unique all the moments are. How great is the moment, that moment , every moment.
That cup of coffee was an opportunity to understand what we had and what are risking to loose, for ever. And just when you are loosing something, you really understand how important it is for you. Our freedom, an hug with our friends, going out to drink a cold beer with your best friend, seeing your grandma and say "I love you". Only humans after all.
We repeat to ourselves every day that we are strong, but I'm still thinking to that siren... Yes during crisis there are opportunities to rise. Yes, we will forget this in 3-4 months. Yes. Yes. But now it's time to cry, cry our victims and impress all we are living in our heart and mind. Because, if there's a good thing in all this f***g shit we are living, is that we will never forget how alone we felt, what a nightmare was, and, hopefully, we will be better humans, because this is what we are. Humans after all.

4 年I agree. This situation and global crisis is teaching us how fragile we humans are, it′s good to be aware of that, to become better humans on this earth. I think we often forget to be humans.

4 年Your words perfectly hit the point. Maybe we've forgotten our fragility as humankind, losing the consciousness that we are are all part of it. I hope that the lesson will be learned by the majority of us. Stay safe and sound.
