Founded in the early 50’s as various independent manufacturing plants and sales companies, the Busak and Shamban group was formed in 1992. Then through a couple of financial acquisitions, Busak and Shamban was acquired by Trelleborg in 2003, and became Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in 2007.

Market Segments

General industry: Precision seals for industrial applications with a focus on O-Rings, rotary seals and hydraulic seals.

Aerospace: Safety-critical seals used in all parts of an aircraft as well as aerodynamic seals.

Light vehicles: Advanced sealing solutions in all parts of a vehicle as well as composite technology designed for damping and sealing.

Transportation equipment: Specially engineered sealing solutions in, for example, trains.

Agriculture: Sealing configurations for hydraulic equipment in, for example, tractors.

Oil & gas: Specialty seals in various oil and gas installations.

The Sealing Solutions organization

The organization in Helsing?r organization currently consists of approx. 320 dedicated employees primarily within the areas of R&D, Product Engineering, Production Engineering (PTA), SCM and Production.

You will be part of local Operations in Helsing?r (TSSH), with a close collaboration with Global Operations, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.

The position is a staff function reporting directly to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Operational Excellence Director, Global Operations at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.

The position

We are now looking for our new Manufacturing Excellence Manager who with an open, holistic and positive mindset can take the overall responsibility to lead and develop the Manufacturing Excellence function and program – taking the Trelleborg Helsing?r site to the next level of efficiency and profitability. Your focus will be to ensure that Trelleborg can continue to develop an efficient supply chain for our international customers, as well as being the best internal supplier - benchmarked across the global TSS group – balancing the financial and operational aspects effectively.

Key responsibility

• Leads and improves the Manufacturing Excellence program for TSSH
• Supports the local management team and Steering Committee with Beyond Budget Planning and Project identification, prioritization, selection, reporting
• Supports Project Sponsors and Project Managers: Project Identification, Prioritization, Selection, Chartering, Valuation and Reporting and timely execution
• Carries out the ME Roadmap Assessment on agreed strategic value streams and formulates a list of improvement projects identified into a CI plan
• Supports the execution of improvement projects through the use of lean tools and kaizen activities involving the site team
• Identifies and propagates Best Practices
• Benchmarks with ME Leads at other Trelleborg business units
• Provides the appropriate level of ME Skills training to the plant associates

You will be based in Helsing?r, Denmark but are given some flexibility to also work from home when necessary to a limited extend.

This position is a reoccupation, and you can expect approx. 5-20 days of international travel per year.

The candidate

We are seeking a candidate with a previous experience in Lean manufacturing and a strong Project Management mindset and experience. You have experience with both project and portfolio management as well as extensive experience with stakeholder management. You have a broad technical knowledge.

You have a solid and extensive background from a leading role in a manufacturing excellence function, founded in complex international manufacturing industries, preferably with a full value chain and technically oriented - having excellent change management skills along with a solid manufacturing and/or technical foundation, both on the practical and theoretical level.

• Technical / Engineering or Manufacturing Qualification is desirable
• Previous experience in Lean manufacturing is essential
• Knowledge and experience in Six Sigma methodology (Green/Black belt) will be considered an asset
• Strong Project Management mindset and experience
• Experience with both Project and Portfolio management
• Extensive experience with stakeholder management
• Profound management experience both with WC, BC and leading through others
