Only creativity and design will save us
When we lodge in the past, a taste of melancholy dwells in us. When we do it in the future, we feel anxious. And the present, like reality, slips away of our hands taking us back and forth.?
As for the future, it has already stopped offering us hope and joy as a consequence of what we human beings do. But today, reaching an isolated place, the most longing future is the nature, the sun, the refuge in our friends and family.
The past? So much living memory prevents us from having fixed points from which to anchor the experience of thousands of events that happened and their reasons why. Today, it is difficult to trust a compass to move forward.
Faced with this dilemma, we should find tools that allow us to hold the present. Experience it. Tools as necessary as breathing, feeling, sharing. Among them, there are two: creativity and design.
Creativity not as a resource to reach a solution, but as a means to explore and play with the limits of the structures and logic that make up our reality. Creativity as a means to demystify that reality and, if we desire, change it.
Design to be able to project new realities that allow us saving the environment, peace and healthy development. Such as responses, rules and institutions were designed back then, we should do it now to create hope and opportunities.
Creativity and design together are the vital liberty and energy that dignify our free will. Design tells us that we can do it and it is worth it. So, let's redesign!
