Only 5G phones available not the 5G Technology

Many countries already deployed 5G services and in India, we are not even done with auctioning of 5G spectrum allocation for operators. is this new here ? No, its always case we get technology reaching us lately starting from data services 3G,4G

Though we are well advanced in technology in other domains but in telecommunications still we are not in par with developed countries. Almost all the mobile manufactures ( Samsung, Motorola, MI, etc., ) started rolling out supported 5G phones in 2021 with intention for end users to have 5G network services available. But the ground reality is that it takes time for implementation and going live for 5G services might take at least a year from now.

There are various hindrance for this issue. In the recent, Govt is yet to come up with a roadmap 5G spectrum sale which is first step for operators to start planning their network based on frequency they get. TV broadcasters raised concerns over proposed 5G airwaves where out of band interference from telecom services. Also cost of spectrum prices are too high. Govt organization like BSNL, MTNL are nowhere in the picture of newer technologies. All these factors needs to be considered for faster resolution.

With COVID situation, there is huge demand for higher bandwidth for individuals working for IT & Non-IT professionals work from home, school & college students/teachers who are attending online class,online gaming, entertainment like OTT platform usage drastically increased. Its right time to speed up the gear and address all the issues pertaining to 5G for quicker implementation.

Thanks for improvement over these years where technology takes many years to get implemented that has come down to few year and hope in future we will be in par with developed countries
