The Four “Ps” of Marketing 1. Product 2. Place 3. Price 4. Promotion For entrepreneurs, understand that marketing is comprised of the four “Ps”: Product, Place, Price, and Promotion. Notice that none of the four say anything about sales. Marketers should consider product areas such as service, benefits, instructions, packaging, and branding. For place, entrepreneurs need to consider areas such as market exposure, channels of delivery, and obtaining market exposure. Price receives input not only from marketing but also from production, shipping, and inventory. Finally, promotion may include advertising, publicity, supporting sales and specials, and highly focused use of social media.?
