Online or offline? Right now I am very grateful for online.

In my generation, born in the mid 70s of the last century, people have learned to use all communications channels available, both offline and online. As a father of 4 children, I see how rapidly the online world is evolving every day, and through my adolescents I discover new ways to get in touch, stay in touch and realize myself every day.

Often I have thought, what am I supposed to do with all this stuff. What do I need all this for? Isn't it too much? And rightly we assume that all this has taken over.

We long for calm, deceleration and the good old offline time. But now our lives have changed dramatically in the past few weeks. Due to the Corona virus we are forced to spend more time at home, to reduce our direct social contacts to a minimum.

And how do I stay in contact with my mother? How do I communicate with my children when they are with their mother during the week? How can I meet my friends who I would otherwise see at sports or in the pub?

Of course, through all the online tools that I have always cursed so much during the otherwise hectic times. If we learn to use the tools that are helpful in every situation correctly and with care, we will never have too much of one or the other. On the contrary.

Let's use this imposed calm to recharge our batteries, to do things we would never have done otherwise, and most importantly, let's use the opportunity to be mindful of ourselves. Let's use all available online tools to be close to our loved ones, even though physically there is a great distance between us. Even though times are difficult at the moment, we are lucky that nobody is telling us how, what and with whom we want to communicate and in what way.

In this sense, please stay healthy and always positive.
