Online Learning Delivered In Small Steps

Learning in bitesize portions is a flexible, yet consistent approach to adult learning. Being able to get to a college or a training centre while still working and/or managing family life can be tricky; in a typical day, the amount of time we have set aside to learn can decrease due to work and social impacts. A learn-when-you-want, yet still having access to tutor support is the core way which BRITEthink and Learning Care Hub deliver their accredited learning programmes.

Rather than showcasing large classes in the access of 45mins, we have chosen to base our lessons on smaller videos, each focusing on one learning outcome at a time. The step by step?approach has led to knowledge retrieval in video format within five to ten minute slots. Learners who then which to challenge themselves have access to a range of additional learning materials, including reading and audio sessions.?

The assessment to this approach often comes after the visual production and broken down into smaller questions. Such processes have allowed the learner to often complete a lesson and assessment in an evening after their children have gone to sleep, making this a daily habit.?

We have found online learning delivered in a flexible, yet still personal way has improved confidence without being an overwhelming process.
