Creating the right online CPD for for leaders, teachers and support staff has been a mission here at Learning Cultures for some time now. There is a new dawn built around a range of changes to approaches to professional development and training since 2020. We are developing expertise and have a growing understanding of the potential of remote and blended learning possibilities as powerful alternatives to expensive in venue courses.
Learning Cultures have built an enviable reputation on ensuring that our courses and programmes have an impact on learning long after the delegate has left the training venue or the online platform. We want that to continue as we look to develop a model that will deliver lasting change and challenge for every individual and team we work with.
We are in the process of putting all our courses onto a digital platform that will allow schools to access flexible and informed content that they can use at a time and in a place they choose rather than being bound by specific dates and times. The twist is in the offer of a coach to support individuals, teams or a wider school cohort who can work as a professional partner in guiding a facilitator or a group of delegates towards the absolute best use of the materials, presentations and resources.

Coaching as a powerful model in the delivery of online CPD for teachers and school leaders?
Coaching is the essential ingredient in all our courses and in the more extensive programmes that we offer. There is a deep consensus from our expert coaching team that learning some coaching skills is one of the most powerful ways that a teacher can enhance their pedagogy, a leader can strengthen their capacity to lead and those who work in teams can be more constructive, more focused and create the cohesion that leads to successful learning outcomes for all. We are affiliated to the Association for Coaching .
By providing a service where a coach is on hand to guide the process of learning for those accessing our online CPD the more opportunities we have to demonstrate how the skills of coaching can make a demonstrable difference to the process of learning and the fostering of professional learning communities. It is through positive dialogue that all those in education can work together to celebrate and share good and best practice and build on what works well in terms of creating opportunities for continuous improvement.
