Online Auction Success
In the interests of client and community safety as well as business continuity, we seamlessly transitioned to inspection by appointment and online auctions a week before the Stage 2 restrictions were announced on March 24. Along with the introduction of a suite of new digital inspection tools, this early move allowed us to be better prepared to facilitate private and online inspections, and a platform for a competitive auction process.
Whilst it’s definitely business as unusual, we’re delighted that we sold two properties since Stage 2 started, including the highest house sale price in Glebe since 2018 for the sale of 43 Toxteth Rd. Following the Stage 3 lockdown restrictions, the online auction of 47 Wigram Rd at Glebe saw five of the six registered bidders competing to take the final sale price $160,000 above the reserve price, with 758 unique visitors watching the auction online.
Our second online auction yesterday for 360 Annandale St also produced a great result for our vendors with three active bidders, selling for $2,036,000.
With great digital and virtual tools to help you through the buying and selling process and with an online market appraisal system under development at the moment, we’ll be able to keep you well and truly in touch with local market conditions and your property’s value.
