In the whole of 2024, we saw smartphone companies using the gimmick word AI to keep up their sales. And, why not? Even users were demanding it. But, this year it seems that the gimmick is over and companies are actually going to focus on the important things.
The latest OnePlus 13 has really impressed me after the OnePlus 7 and 8.
It seems that OnePlus has bought its old legacy back. Here is the OnePlus 13 review you wanted to read.
Starting with the Build Quality
The latest OnePlus flagship has these shiny side rails, making it so beautiful to look at. Its camera panel is round, but the alignment is quite different, neither in the center nor in the left side (between it).
While using the phone, you feel the one plus legacy in the vibration motor. OnePlus 13 is available in three colors: white with a matte glass back, blue with a vegan leather back, and black with a wooden textured glass back.
With slimmer bezels, the OnePlus 13 is slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor.
The Battery part is really impressive
It has an Incredible 6000 mAh battery.
Yes, the number sounds massive but trust me the phone is slim which means that the battery does not take much space. And, nor the battery is increasing the weight of the phone as it is lighter than previous models.
For extreme gamers the company now also offers a dock for making the phone support Magsafe like charging. This is again a very interesting option from OnePlus.
Highly optimized Performance
Performance is always a centre of highlight in every phone. No user wants to wait after they tap anywhere on the phone.
With the OnePlus 13, users get the Snapdragon 8 elite chip, which is much better than last year’s benchmarks, giving
around 35% better performance in every department.
If you take away the gaming part (it is good for gaming too), I think it is one of the best phones with efficiency and no throttles at all.

Vibrant and Really Bright Display
Standing in the bright sunny day on the beach? No problem! The device can go to a max of 4500 nits. Well, this can be something boasting on the paper, but yes, the device is really bright outdoors as shown in the real-life testing.
The new ultrasonic fingerprint will work even when your fingers are wet, thanks to the new IP 69 certification taken by the OnePlus team.
And the quality and screen size are large, just as you want to enjoy watching content on your system.
What about the camera?
Just like every time, the camera is again good. But I have seen in some samples that at night the image looks a bit brightened, which might not look up to the mark. Rest the camera is pretty decent, and you won't see any complaints in even the least sunlight.
The Experience with Oxygen OS 15
How can we ignore talking about oxygen-15? Well, it might have gotten boring in between when OnePlus settled with the Oxygen OS. Actually, it is more of a merger, as both of them are one now. But the main highlight is the animation.
These animations are literally GODDAMN smooth.
You also get a dynamic island feature called Live Alerts, which is, of course, a feature taken from the iPhone.
So the pricing?
The 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant is priced at INR 70,000, and the 16 GB RAM and 512 GB variant is INR 77,000. They have not kept their pricing too high, unlike other brands. Seems like we have got a good phone at the start of the year.
I am very much excited for what other brands bring, and we will be covering all the interesting smartphone stories for sure.
