OnePlanet and AI - What? How? And Why?
from Tash Barnes
There’s lots going on at OnePlanet – and much of that involves AI.??
In short, we’re investigating, testing and assessing how, and just how well, AI might help us as a team and help our users to get more from the platform. Read on to find out the main areas we’re exploring:
1. Strategy translation into the OnePlanet language of OAIs?
We’re still testing how well AI can do this in comparison to our team. It will be interesting to see if we interpret strategies similarly between us and how we might do this differently to the AI. We are also looking into the AI’s repeatability. In the future we will also investigate how AI might be able to map the OAIs directly into an action plan on the platform, and how meaningfully it could link the nodes together.?

?Costs and drawbacks:??
2. Helpful ‘agents' on our website?

The idea with this is for agents – who have been trained using OnePlanet documentation and insights from the team - to direct users towards help files and link them with the information they are looking for. We are using Mindset AI for this process. We are also hoping the agents will be able to make useful suggestions to users about joining relevant community ecosystems and Connecting to the wider community of activity.??

3. Planet Regenerating AI – the big one!??
We have teamed up with world-leading experts in Neuroscience, AI and engineering to build out an energy efficient, dynamic and creative AI which aims to find the simplest solution(s) to complex problems. This will help users to understand how they can move their activity away from risky (unsustainable) activities and address gaps in their strategies which are holding them back from regenerative change.?

In summary, there is lots going on, but we are being careful not to get too wrapped up in AI. As it is hard to pull back on AI use, we think that a balanced approach is key. Going forward we will be taking an optimistic yet rigorous and cautious approach – watch this space!
