SharePoint: Teams standard and Private channel files

SharePoint: Teams standard and Private channel files

Were you as confused as I was when I saw "In Channels" and "In Site Library" groupings inside of a Microsoft Teams connected SharePoint Site? I sure was! What is this new “In channels” section when you navigate to the default document library of a Teams-connected site?

Well, it's Roadmap Feature ID: 88911 https://lnkd.in/graw98zi

This slipped under the radar for me and I was thankful Petri was proactive to communicate it through their M365 changelog. Of course, that's after I spent 15 minutes trying to remove what I thought was a view grouping or option somewhere.

So, if you're caught off guard by the new look in the Documents library of a Teams connected SharePoint site, here's the skinny.

I encourage Instructional Design teams and/or SharePoint SME's to communicate this out as it will likely lead to confusion and abrasion when team members see duplicate folders.
