Today is the last entry of my #OneBlogADayInOctober series, and I can't believe it's already been a month since I embarked on this journey to write a blog every single day. As promised in my introductory post , I have taken you everywhere on this ride, covering a wide array of topics that even I could not have anticipated writing about when I set out to do this. For instance, the recent annular eclipse was nowhere near my radar when I put together my tentative editorial calendar...
This challenge was a very important exercise for me, as I sometimes struggle with self-discipline, regardless of the stakes. The fact that I was able to deliver on my promise despite going through one of the most severe and lengthy health crises I've ever experienced gives me an added sense of pride for not giving up despite having an understandable reason to do so. I told a friend a couple of days ago that having thyroid cancer was a walk in the park compared to what I've experienced over the past two months with my celiac disease symptoms.
I am very proud to be writing these lines as a sort of closing ceremony to October and to the challenge. Looking over all the topics I wrote about over the past 31 days makes me feel like I accomplished what I set out to do when I started this challenge, which was to start anew on LinkedIn and show my network who I am today and how I got here. I also think I will look back fondly upon these pieces as a journal that will permanently freeze October of 2023 in time. Songs, scents, and sentences all have the power to bring you back to a moment in time, and these daily reflections will undoubtedly do the same for me.
As far as what is coming next now that I finished the challenge, my plan is to become a regular LinkedIn user with a few posts a week of tidbits I find interesting, educational, or funny. There were quite a few topics that I had originally planned on writing about but ended up choosing alternate subjects, so I think I will likely leave those for more detailed deep-dives, and potentially put them out as thought leadership pieces. Some of those topics include:
All in all, I hope that those of you who read me through this month feel like you know me a little better and have enjoyed getting acquainted with my voice as a writer now, with over 11 years working in generating written content. I look forward to any and all feedback, requests for my takes on a specific topic, and maybe even a new K-Pop friendship if one of you fellow corporate K-Poppies finds your way to my account from seeing my K-Pop pieces!
Thanks to every single one of you who read me, reacted to my posts, left a comment, texted me, private messaged me, or told me in person that you were enjoying my posts. I appreciated every single interaction! And for anyone who wants a compilation of the challenge entries, wish granted below.
