Dubai is home to some of the world’s most incredible feats of constructions. From the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa to staggering land reclamation's, the city is known for constantly breaking new grounds with its mega projects arguably more so than anywhere else on earth.
Now on its latest landmark on built, Dubai has quite literally raised the bar of what’s possible this time horizontally and the results are once again amazing.
One Za’abeel is a?flagship, mixed-used development by Ithra Dubai. A symbol of ambition, innovation and the pioneering spirit of Dubai, it will stand proudly in the Za’abeel district at the heart of the city, strategically positioned between the old and new business districts.
The scale of the development is enormous and complex. With two towers Tower A at 304 meter high and Tower B 241 meter high, built either side of a six lane high way with an enormous bridge called THE LINK joining the two together. It’s an incredible engineering and officially gain the title of world’s longest cantilever building.
The development is spread across 530,000 square meters, it is designed to offer high end business, residential, retail and entertainment spaces all within the same development and close to the Financial District and World Trade Center which symbolizes a new gateway to the heart of Dubai.
The Tower A will offer 67 floors of luxury, including hotel, apartments, retails and offices while Tower B will be mostly premium residential apartments. Both have 7 Basements and 3 Podiums, while sustainability features includes state-of –the-art LED lighting, heat pumps and smart technologies for optimizing utility system. The residential tower will be made up of a mix of 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments and duplexes with beautifully crafted interiors and breath-taking views of Dubai skyline.
The Link which is connecting two towers will house Bars, Restaurants, an infinity swimming pool, a banquet hall and a roof top terrace offering 360 degree views of the city. Al though sky bridge and cantilever are nothing new, The Link 226 meter length, 9500 ton weight and 105 meter high above the ground make it most demanding one ever attempted. It is just about the same height as Tower B if placed vertically.
