A year ago, I made the bold decision to leave my secure corporate job, despite having limited savings at the time. The reasons for this departure are personal and not up for discussion, but the subsequent exploration of entrepreneurship without a business background has provided insights that may resonate with many.
- Saving: A year without a steady job and fixed income is undeniably challenging. Managing monthly expenses and EMIs during the first ten days, when the EMI is debited, proved to be a tough task. Occasionally, an EMI bounced, highlighting the importance of having savings before venturing into entrepreneurship. Factor in the business expenses, and it becomes evident that sufficient financial preparedness is crucial.
- Health: When tested, one is tested in full. Maintaining physical well-being is imperative. My health faced challenges, but with gratitude, I overcame them swiftly.
- Friendship: Among the most crucial aspects of this journey is the support of friends. In difficult times, true friends come to your aid. Some of my friends stood by me, encouraging me to pursue my dreams, and their support proved invaluable. The bond of friendship proved to be more precious than any other.
- Planning: A prerequisite for any endeavor is a well-thought-out plan. Without a clear plan, progress is hindered.
- Marketing, Sales, and Revenue: Learning the intricacies of marketing, sales, and revenue is an ongoing process. Developing a solid revenue plan is essential for the success of any business.
- Strong Self-Confidence: Prepare yourself for skepticism and indifference. From facing questions like 'Who are you?' to hearing 'We are not interested' numerous times, maintaining unwavering self-confidence is key to moving forward.
- Honesty and Truth: The commitment to honesty and truth comes with its own costs. I've paid a price for being truthful about my work, with some potential partnerships not materializing. However, I stand firm in my commitment to honesty.
- Genuine People: Genuine individuals recognize and appreciate authentic efforts. Surrounding oneself with such people fosters respect for one's work.
Be Happy in All Situations: Maintaining a positive outlook in challenging situations is difficult but essential. It is a mindset that can be cultivated and contributes significantly to overall well-being.
