One Year Stronger Together

Today, I shared the following message with 48,000 employees throughout the world to celebrate the one-year anniversary of our successful AbbVie-Allergan integration. I am tremendously proud of the work we have done to position our company for long-term growth so we can help even more patients and customers in the years to come.

Dear Colleagues,

One year ago, AbbVie and Allergan came together to form the new AbbVie. This transformational integration diversified our business and sustained our focus on innovative science. Together, we continue to advance our pipeline to have a remarkable impact on people’s lives.

In the past year, we strengthened our business by bringing together more than 30 brands and leadership positions. We expanded our therapeutic areas of focus, adding Aesthetics, Eye Care and Neuroscience to our portfolio. Combined with AbbVie’s established Immunology and Hematologic Oncology franchises, we are well positioned for long-term growth. We are not only helping people live better lives today, but we are ensuring we continue to invest in R&D and the science of tomorrow to help generations to come.

I am tremendously proud of the work that has been done and the extraordinary effort of our employees who worked through the challenges of a global pandemic to meet every milestone. From day one, our people have been key to our success. And as a team of 48,000 located all over the world, together we are stronger, drawing on each other’s new ideas and new ways of thinking.

The AbbVie-Allergan integration was a critical next step in the evolution of this company. Today more than ever, we are ready to deliver on our commitments and turn possibilities into reality for even more patients and customers.
