? One Year at Smartsheet: Reflecting on Growth, Challenges, and Gratitude ?

One year ago today, during my first week at Smartsheet, I wrote a letter to my future self—a message that was delivered to me today.

"It's me. You don't know it yet, but you are poised to be wildly successful—for the team and for yourself. You've worked hard and envisioned the moment you're about to step into for years. This is your time. This first year was to get your bearings, build your team, sharpen your skillset, and build the relationships. Now we go! Onward and upward!"

Reading those words now feels both surreal and incredibly grounding. This year has been full of moments that tested me—navigating change, pushing through self-doubt, and tackling large, complex problems that demanded resilience, creativity, and focus. There were days I questioned if I was up to the task, but that letter reminded me that success starts with belief in yourself and the people around you.

And speaking of people—my Smartsheet team has been nothing short of extraordinary. Your collaboration, hard work, and unwavering support turned what could have been impossible challenges into some of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Together, we’ve built momentum and laid the foundation for something truly impactful.

As I reflect on this first year, I see it as the beginning. That letter wasn’t just a message to myself—it was a promise to keep moving forward, to grow, and to deliver on the vision we’ve been working toward together.
