One year to go to Women's Rugby World Cup - this energy never stops in Bristol!
The Women’s Rugby World Cup kicks off a year today with Ashton Gate Stadium at the heart of the biggest-ever celebration of women’s rugby.?
Ashton Gate – the leading sports and events venue in the South West – will be the premier knock-out venue for the 10th edition of the global tournament, hosting not only the two semi-finals but also two of the four quarter-finals.
Continuing the unstoppable energy behind women’s sport in the UK, the quarter-finals will take place on the weekend of September 13th and the semi-finals on the weekend of September 19th to decide the finalists for Twickenham Stadium on September 27th.
England 2025 will be the biggest and most accessible celebration of women’s rugby ever, with adult tickets starting at £15 for the quarter-finals and £20 for the semi-finals and child (Under-15) tickets at £5 and £10 respectively.?
Fans are encouraged to register now via the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 website to enter the presale, taking place from 10am on September 24th until 10am October 8th, 2024.
England 2025 will kick off with England’s opening match at the Stadium of Light on August 22nd, (7.30pm) with the final at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, September 27th (4pm), where a new attendance record for women’s rugby is anticipated.

The Red Roses will play in Northampton and Brighton and Hove during the pool stages, with the potential to play their quarter-final match at Ashton Gate should they progress.
Ashton Gate’s selection confirms its status as a premier women’s sports venue in England, including a 26,169 sell-out Lionesses’ Arnold Clark football double-header in February 2023 and this March’s record attendance of 19,705 for the Red Roses game against Wales.
