One Year

Wow. One year has passed since I joined this marvelous group of Cyberians. Other than 365 moons and suns, much else has also passed. I recovered from COVID, my daughter started as a graduate instructor while pursuing med school,?my son went back to Boston to start his sophomore year, the little one (my 13-year-old) broke his pinkie, taped it up, and played two more basketball games a week apart and only then we found out that he had a broken bone!

And equally important, Cyber Group saw its record year in terms of revenue growth, we hired more than 100 new team members, expanded to two new cities, hosted tens of conferences, roundtables, and great mind gatherings to discuss the current and future state of business and technology.

And even more importantly, I got to make about 100 new friends, and I am determined to get to know the rest of about 200 of my colleagues this year! And walk ~3.6 Million steps (10K daily).

They say you have landed the right job if you see the following signs:

• You never shut up about work
• Your company is doing well
• You are fine with the mundane tasks
• Money isn’t an issue
• You are calm on Sundays and annoying on Mondays (hustler)
• You have enough time for your loved ones, and yourself
• Your coworkers are more like friends
• You challenge yourself and take intelligent risks
• Time flies at work
• Your boss pushes you
• You want your boss’s job

I can honestly say that almost all of these are true. I am blessed. But this happened because Dbrav opened the door, John Humphrey believed in me, Sankalp convinced Saurajit that he should hire me, and Jonathan pulled the trigger!

It has been a great year. And I think the next one is gona be the greatest!
