One year ago, I founded The Listening Lab

What an incredible journey it has been.

In the course of these 12 months, we set up a back office to support our expansion plans and also a base for our b2b operations in expanding hearing accessibility in public spaces.

We also established The Listening Lab branch at The Curve in Petaling Jaya, raising the bar in terms of equipment, presentation and counselling tools in Malaysia.

Bishan and Simei were shortly established after that in Singapore, giving the company a firm foothold in the hearing industry in Singapore.

What surprised me most, was the reception to our Mobile Hearing Centre (MHC) in Malaysia. We were welcome with open arms by communities in Malaysia, almost with the kind of wide-eyed amazed that was reserved for Ben & Jerry's ice cream trucks! Within days of launching, contacts from the world were asking me why we built it, how we did it and the impact of its implementation. The MHC truly helped put The Listening Lab on the map!

I'm proud to say every centre we have created, is different from the last. We always endeavour to bring new value, new ideas to what is perceived as a traditional business. This year, I am incredibly excited at the new concept centres we will implement. I guarantee it will be something fantastically novel, adding benefits and true value to all hearing instrument users. I really cant wait to show you version 2 of The Listening Lab this year!

It has been a true odyssey for me, fraught with tides and storms but ultimately sailing through a brilliant chromatic sky. I can't wait to see what's beyond the horizon!
