One Word Can Change Your Life
We all know that words are powerful. They can literally change the state that you're in. If somebody comes up to you and compliments you, it can change your internal state even if you were having a bad day.
But the converse is also true. Words can be hurtful and make us feel terrible. Hurtful and negative words said to us can make us feel a physical tightness and heaviness in our bodies. Kind and positive words said to us make us feel physically lighter. There will be a feeling of expansion rather than contraction. It can shift your internal state as well as your body. Now think about the words that you use on yourself and how they can change your state.?
If you keep telling yourself that you're hitting the wall all the time, think about how your body will feel. It will probably feel heavy, your shoulders probably feel contracted.
Everything you do will feel like an effort. It affects your body posture, gestures, and tonality.
Are you using these words?
I HAVE TO …..
I have to work out.
I have to go for a walk.
I have to go to work.
I have to wake up at 5.00 am.
I have to go to the grocery store.
It is always hard to motivate yourself to do the HAVE TO things. You don’t HAVE TO anything but you can GET TO, how lucky are you?

I GET TO
What if you replaced HAVE with GET, just one word. It is a totally different mindset because you suddenly realize how fortunate you are.
I get to work out.
I was walking behind a lady in a wheelchair the other day. She does not get to work out. What a blessing that I get to do squats, and it hurts like hell. How beautiful that my body works and I can feel the soreness.
I get to go for a walk
A guy was lying in a hospital bed after being shot and he was looking out his window. He saw a guy walking his dog. Only the guy was not walking, he was driving his car and holding the dog’s leash out the window. The guy in the hospital bed was astounded. If only he could get to take his dog for a walk.
I get to wake up at 5 am
You don’t have to wake up at 5 am but you are privileged that you opened your eyes. You get to breathe. You get to hang out with people. You get to give hugs and high fives and eat delicious food and drink water and all of it. You get to get out of bed?
These are just a few examples. You don't HAVE to do anything. You GET to do everything. Think about how that changes the way that you start to see your life. When we say HAVE it's a force. It's a straight jacket. It doesn't feel good. It feels restrictive in every way.?
There's so much that you get to do. There are so many things that you need to learn to be grateful for. Just sit back and say thank you because you GET to.
