If you're reluctant to speak up when your recommendations contradict people in power, we understand your fear.
It isn't always easy to tell people what they need to hear to lift their game, get funded and get traction. Or prevent a disaster, when that isn't what they want to hear. Especially when you're an outsider, and you don't yet know that you've earned their trust.
So, if you're asking a rising star like Queen Esther to speak up and be your champion when you propose something better than what's obvious or politically expedient, you've got to build their courage. And have their back, so they come away as a hero.
Our next Courage Executive Roundtable - Monday the 07th April at 12:00-1pm EDT (19:00 Israel) - will focus on the courage that your champions need to challenge conventional wisdom and get funded when you ask them to advocate for a better path forward. And how you can build that courage, rather than plant seeds and hope.
This week is the Jewish holiday, Purim, when we celebrate Queen Esther's courage. It's when we appreciate the difference she made, speaking up and changing the trajectory. It's when we acknowledge the support and encouragement that build Queen Esther's courage - so she'd be a champion, rather than a "go-along-to-get-along" wishful thinker or sycophant.
If you're an innovation champion - or an advisor, like us, who isn't in the room when people with power deliberate and decide on your recommendations - your impact depends on champions who can be in the room. And the influence they have. And, with 5 leadership secrets, you don't have to leave that courage to luck or chance. Join us to see how. And until then, Happy Purim.
